Secrets of Asherah II – October 3, 2025 Update

Welcome back, adventurers, to the world of Asherah! Nearly twenty years after the original game first captured imaginations, the journey continues with Secrets of Asherah II. This sequel builds upon the legacy of its predecessor while charting a bold new course, powered by the Intersect engine to unlock new mechanics and immersive experiences that remain true to the heart and soul of Asherah.

Right now, we’re deep in the foundational stage of development. Our immediate focus is the continent of Arthos and its surrounding untamed lands, and today we’ve reached a new milestone: Beta 0.1.0 – The Graphical Update.

This update introduces:

• New player sprites with customizable hair and skin tones

• Properly displayed equipment graphics on characters

• Tiles, monsters, and item sprites carried forward from Secrets of Asherah I

• A fully functional day/night cycle system

• The beginnings of mapped areas as Arthos comes to life

Playable content is still in its early stages, but the beta client is free to download. You can now log in, explore the server, and watch the world of Asherah II take shape in real time as items and systems fall into place.

This project has also been energized by collaboration with long-time fans who have brought their own vision of Asherah into the fold. Together, we’re shaping Arthos as the cornerstone of the new adventure. Our next steps are to finalize a robust server infrastructure and a functional starting area — paving the way for the first fully playable beta tests.
